When I first got to Berkshire School, I was amazed by the night sky. Coming from the most light-polluted city of Hong Kong, it was the first time I could see more than two stars.
I was obsessed.
My friend and I would be out at 11:30 PM on weekends, trudging through the snow to get to the tennis courts for the darkest patch of sky on campus. We would wake up at 5:00 AM to catch the sunrise. Or sit around all night, hoping to glimpse the Geminids. We would clamp our tripods onto a railing, lamppost, or rock to try to get the perfect shot.
The photos below came from those adventures. However amateur our setup was, I tried my best to encapsulate the beauty of the moments I saw with my very own eyes.
